Re: 90 Suburban Electrical

Ok, have you pulled the fuse block cover and looked to see if any fusible link has burned up?

Re: 90 Suburban Electrical

Hmm, Okay so you turn the key headlights will turn on no dash lights; I’m assuming the engine won’t turn over either? I have a 93 K1500 truck the ignition module went on it, the lights would turn on but the engine wouldn’t crank and the fusible link kept burning up. Not real good in this field but was the ignition module checked?

Re: 90 Suburban Electrical

Thanx Man, appreciate I am not the best at describing the problem..
While driving there was a BEEP, which I thought was my phone and everything shut down. I coasted to stop, headlights, interior lights OK.
Nothing else works, GM dealer suggested Ignition short so the ignition was replaced to no avail.

Re: 90 Suburban Electrical

No problem, The beep maybe the buzzer in the vehicle acting like the keys were in the ignition but the engine not on. Same thing here my interior lights and headlights worked but when I turned the ignition one of the fusible links would burn up. So maybe it’s the ignition module or there’s a bad short somewhere. I’m not to sure there some other more knowledgeable people on here that might be able to help.
