Hello everyone. Usually, idling problems seem to be rough or slow/stalling. I've got the opposite problem. Cold or warm, my GC wants to idle at about 2000 RPM. Sometimes a little higher, sometimes a little lower. It is consistent, too (almost no pulsing, highway or side roads, long trips to work, short trips, it doesn't matter). If I don't fix it soon I'm going to eat through my brakes.
Several months ago I replaced every sensor (except O2, which I still have in the box) on the vehicle to cure a pulsing idle problem, which I did. It was running perfectly for several months, and then early this week, it starts doing this. I don't suspect I have a sensor problem, but who knows. I also recently fixed my death wobble problem, so I was feeling pretty darn good about myself. :^) Now this. It's the 318 engine which has about 145k miles on it. Thank you for any suggestions you may have, Paul |

Re: 94 GC Laredo Idling Way Too Fast!
sounds like symptoms of a bad TPS.
