'90 Corsica DTC P0441 any hints?
The Corsica that we are working on sets the MIL with P0441. The
code indicates "Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow." We think there is a leak in the vapor recovery lines or gas cap. We changed the gas cap and that didn't clear the code. One suggestion was the "cannister" is blocked. Any suggestions or whould we just inspect the entire vapor system for leaks, cracks or blockage, etc.? >>>Incidentially, it is a '96 Corsica, the key stuck on my computer... |

Re: '90 Corsica DTC P0441 any hints?
I think we found it. There is a solenoid operated purge valve
mounted on the engine block under the intake manifold. The hose was cracked/leaking. Cleared code after fixing this. We'll see if MIL/DTC returns. |

Check engine light came on again with same DTC.
Couldn't find cracked hose. Bought replacement purge solenoit valve at Kragen. Installed it. Cleared codes. MIL light has not come on. If it does, we'll check the gasoline filler cap. It is an aftermarket. |
