2001 Spyder convertible top won't open

A Spyder convertible has a open/close switch on dash.
When toggling switch to "open" position nothing happens, no sound,
nothing.
What should I check first...fuse? Which fuse is it?

Check the owners manual it should havea fuse diagram in there,

If the fuse is good than it's probably the top motor.

well 2 things..

1) there is also a switch in your trunk it disables the top and puts it into manual mode. When you press the switch do all your windows go down at least? They should while it's in manual mode. If they don't go down definately check the fuse, else try to find the switch in the trunk first.

2) you want to find the eclipse 2000+ forums. this is for 89-99 really. but we are nice and will help you the best we can anyway. Most likely we can't tell you what fuse it is because most of us don't own a 2000+ eclipse.
