Wow

I was looking at the chevy performance website, and this company made a kit where u can put the body of a 1st Gen maro on a fourth gens chasis. I might get that kit cause it will be alot cheaper than fixing a first gen up and u get the performance and technology of a fourth gen.

Re: Wow

well it's alot cheaper than restoring a first gen. Think about everything u would have 2 do to upgrade a 1st gens technology to a fourth gens? And how much money that would cost.

Re: Wow

the idea sounded kind of stupid to me at first but.. wow. plus the advantage of modern technology and convenience. i wouldnt have a problem with the interior not being any different. kinda cool i guess.

Re: Wow

I just don't like how they are hacking up first gen cars to donate the pilars. They should have replcas made.

Not too overly keen about 'stretching the floor 7 incheches either on a unibody frame either.

This was in Hot Rod after the SEMA show too.

Re: Wow

hmm, this reminds me of the 500E mustangs. It might be worth it for all the added technology. I still say it matters on the cost of this conversion whether or not to do it.

If that's so, It's probably not worth it. I'd like to see it done though!
