PCV Valve - AutoZone or Honda?

Honda Dealers don't have a PCV valve in stock for my civic. Would you trust a PCV valve from AutoZone, Pep Boys or AC Delco?

If so, it would save me a trip.

Advice welcome. Thanks.

Just grab one from the auto parts store.

Re: PCV Valve - AutoZone or Honda?

i don't know how autozone is in your area, but in mine they are ignorant, like to argue with you and say that the transmission is on the opposite side of your car from where it actually is, sell you the wrong parts, and take a HELL of a long time to ever acknowledge your presence in the store and even longer as they're helping you. and then they'll spend forever on a phone call in the middle of all this... ugh. i simply refuse to go into autozone in picayune unless it's my only choice. i'd rather pay an enormous price at the dealership for something than have to spend an hour in autozone just to find out they don't have the part i need.

around picayune, the best auto parts store is a locally owned store called Putnam, and then O'Reilly's, followed by Advance auto parts, Buylow, carquest, and then autozone, and i make this judgement based on my overall experience in the store including store location, prices, availability of parts, how fast they can order them if they don't have them, and most importantly speed of service, number of employees, and level of knowledge of employees.

but to answer your question, if you like autozone in your area, buy it from autozone. i only go to the dealer for things you absolutely cannot get aftermarket. lately honda's been telling me that THEY have to go aftermarket when they order me something...

Re: PCV Valve - AutoZone or Honda?

I've met bad people at AutoZone, Pep Boys and Strauss. The MGR at Strauss is horrendous, insulted my intelligence. Had I ever received the digi pic from my friend i would have reported Strauss to the better business bureau and every other website i could think of.

Anyway, I'll tell my mechanic that if the PCV valve doesn't fit well, just tell me and i'll get another.
