Passlock system

Please help if you can, I have a 2000 Blazer that has that awful Passlock system in it.....well guess what it constantly trips itself, sometimes 3 times in a row. Who has 30 mins to wait for there car to decide to start??
Has anyone ever had success in disabling this system or overriding it?

To disable it, you need to talk to someone who does remote start systems. These bypass the passlock.

If you hook the vehicle to a scanner, you can get the failure code which can help repair it. The most common problem is the passlock sensor in the steering column. It reads off the ignition lock cylinder as it turns.

ricksza is correct a scanner will help you diagnose and repair the problem. Here's a little info about one of the most common problems:
