conversions

hi is it possible to convert my 98 auto eclipse to a manual one and if so how much you it could cost to convert if is possible since my auto transmission is semi-broken. hopefully is cheaper to convert than to buy a new transmission.
thanx for your time

That's for a 1g, but the procedure should be similar.

All of the wise DSM legends agree this swap is a pain in the ass, and not worth the time, money, frustration, etc. Have fun.

Re: conversions

If you can do the work yourself then it wouldn't be that expensive. I agree that it would be a PITA to do.

Re: conversions

along the line of doing conversions. Im looking at a 96 Talon TSI AWD with 120k mi, guy is selling it for 2.5k with some minor body damage. The only problem is that its an auto insted of a 5 speed. I can do the work myself, would it be worth it to buy this car and change it from auto to 5 speed? thanks
