1999 Century remote start bypass
I just recently got a Viper vx9 something something.. what ever it was it was $500 or about retail (i work at best buy and got if for like $150) but i had a bulldog remote start in my car.. then i got the new one.. so i want to install the bulldog into my GF's car which is the 1999 century. I installed this into my first car (2002 Focus) with no problems. But before i attempt this is there anything i should know before i attempt? (and please dont just say that Bull Dog sucks.. i already know that, but there is no sense that is sit around and my GF would really like one as she has to park outside)
also.. i know in the focus... i needed a bypass which i got from the dealership.. but if i recall right.. her car (1999 Century) just needs a resistor somewhere. but i cant remember where i read that and i tried a seach here and came up with nothing. FYI, her key has a lil chip thats not in the VERY end of the key (like mine which is PATS) but just a lil ways from the rubberized end. Thanks in advance. ~Mike |

Re: 1999 Century remote start bypass
Yep. That chip in the key is the resistor. Match that with a relay into the VATS wires and you'd be good to go.
