96 sc1
I am looking at a 96 sc1 I believe. It has 107000 miles automatic transmission (I hate auto but, with the gas prices standard is hard to find) They want 2900 with gas prices this would be alot better than the gmc jimmy or the grand cherokee. what do you guys think? are they good cars? I drive about 110-120 miles a day. would it last a few years? are they know to survive high miles??

Re: 96 sc1
just like any used car, depends on how it was taken care of, and how well you take care of it. you could possibly have a few issues to deal with as the previous owners may not have done.
but yes they can survive a long time. people who have taken good care of them can easily see over 300K out of them. i know a guy up here who probably has about 800K on his dohc. the biggest issue with the sohc is cracked heads. that may be your only concern. but its not like a widespread thing, but are known to crack.
