tracker runs rough when raining out

i have a 1994 geo tracker for about 3 years. been running great. However recently whenever it is raining out or damp out it idles rough and lack of power. runs fine after it is warmed up. replaced cap and roter.

Don't be suprised if you end up having trouble starting it in the rain soon. As you have probably read my post, once I get mine started (in the rain/damp), it too runs rough just as you are explaining. At first I thought it was gas related but I believe it to be ignition related. Check the recommended resolution that someone posted under my post. I am going to give it a shot and I will post my findings once I do (probably in a few weeks).

If we get enough heads working on this we might find a solution!

Thanks, DJ

Re: tracker runs rough when raining out

I would recommend replacing the following... plugs, wires, cap, rotor and coil. I did all of these things and my problem (not staring in the rain) has subsided. I do believe all I really needed to repalce was the coil though.

Replace the plug wires and you'll be good to go.
