Re: ECU Question

I'm assuming form your name it's a esi. Don't bother with the ECU if thats the case. No real gain there. Put you car in your sig. Maybe do some suspension mods.. I dunno you run out of options real quick on a non turbo unless your david-b or the other kid on here that has a decked out 420a.

Check out david-b's sig for stuff you could do.

Re: ECU Question

Honestly if you want a fast car sell the n/t ad buy a turbo, i'm sure you could get a 1g for pretty cheap. Thats really the best way to go.

Re: ECU Question

IF you did what would you expect to happen? you have a 140 hp car its not going to turn into a rocket by messing with the ecu. I agree with the suspension mods just make it look and handle a little nicer.

Re: ECU Question

I'm sorry I can't give u a bench horsepower gain with a change of ecu. I have no experience with N/t's. All I can tell you is if you have an eprom ecu then for 600 bucks you can have dsm link and then your (continuously) in control of everything that goes on in your car not jet performance (at one instant). Then you can change your ecu as needed.

Re: ECU Question

what everyone is trying to say is that it's not worth the effort. You don't need to change the fuel trims past what the computer has set for you on an NT. That money would be wasted. Save it for a turbo DSM IMO.

Re: ECU Question

dsm link works only on a Turbo. You might try getting a safc II (don't get neo it blows goats) if you wanted to tune. I think david-b has one. you can adjust fuel trims with them and I'm pretty sure they work on a n/t
