E350 6.0 Diesel power
Does anyone know why the 6.0 HP and Torque is lower in a E350. I heard it was all because of a smaller intercooler. If so, can an aftermarket re-programmer make up any power difference?
I am taking delivery this week of an 2006 E350. I presently own a '97 F250 with a 7.3 which has a 4" exhaust, chip, exhaust brake, gauges, etc. I use it to tow a 27' travel trailer. Hope I won't be dissapointed in the 6.0. Any suggestions or advice will be greatly appreciated. |

Re: E350 6.0 Diesel power
Yes, the Charge Air Cooler is the reason.
Any "SCT" dealer can get most, if not all of the power difference back AND improve the transmission function and durability. ww.sctflash.com or www.blueovalchips.com |

Re: E350 6.0 Diesel power
In the dealership, I drove some 6.0s with the six-gun setup, I think it's by Banks, but a quick Google search should find it quickly. Lemme tell ya, even with stock exhaust and intakes, those would scoot like you wouldn't believe.

Re: E350 6.0 Diesel power
Yea but ONLY "SCT" tuning offers the CORRECT chenges in the transmission controls to handle that added power safely.
After all, the guy in charge at SCT is a former Ford Drivetrain engineer. |
