91 626 Overheating
Just got a 1991 626 and i only drive it around for a little bit and it starts to over heat it has an automatic transmission I was wondering if this has happened to anyone and any idea what it could be...

Lots of possibilities.If you have air, car has two electric fans, one that comes on when a/c comes on and one that comes on if car overheats.Work on thermostats. Let car warm up , turn a/c on and let car idle and see if both fans come on.Second possibilty is thermostat is stuck in the closed position. Cheap fix, thermo is right up front and easy to replace it and gasket.Third, radiator may need cleaning out and new fluid, also pretty easy fix. Hope this helps.BJ

Bump. Lots of other not so easy or cheap to fix problems like blown head gasket, etc., but check the easy things first. BJ

well i got it all fixed came to be that my cooling system had a lot of air in it got it flushed ad put new antifreeze in their and i was good to go...
