Rear AC works, Front Doesn't
I recharged at the connection on top of the compressor, yet rear is very cold and front isn't.
Is there a second system to charge, if so were is the connection. Any ideas would be greatly appriciated. Dealers charging way to much these days

Re: Rear AC works, Front Doesn't
I don't remember if these have expansion valves or not, but they do have orface tubes and I will bet that the one for the front is pluged.

Re: Rear AC works, Front Doesn't
Thanks horse482, I"ll try and trace the system and see what I can find. All chiltons, etc. wont give me a schematic, they just say have a dealer do it, and I haven't been able to hunt down a dealer service manual for the right price. Thanks again for the quik response.

Re: Rear AC works, Front Doesn't
Yeah it's your orphice tube, same thing happened to me. But for some odd reason when I got the tube cleaned and had the front working, the expansion valve in the back got plugged up again, go figure. Just don't have the dealer do it, or make sure they actually do the job. I've had too many really really really bad A/C experiences with dealers all the way from Ontario, Canada to Stockton, CA
Good Luck! |
