It's possible...The TPS is easy enough to check. If you need a procedure holler back...

What is the TPS procedure? I've already turned my throttle position screw almost all the way in to the last thread. The mechanical spring device seems like it's soft or worn out. Thanks.

Re: TPS Throtle Position Sensor

You need to keep in mind that fuel injection is different from the old style carborators. Opening the throttle adjusts the air flow. The Air flow sensor sends a signal to the computer that tells it to inject more fuel. Fixing the idle usually requires cleaning the idle stabilizer out with carborator cleaner. The idle stabilizer is a bypass to the throttle that lets some air through as though the accelerator were slightly pressed. The knock sensor sends a single to the computer to tell it if the engine is running smoothly and the computer opens and shuts the idle stabilizer accordingly.
