Re: 94 geo error code 13

well in a way that makes me feel good.

my other car is a dodge conversion van and it needs its oxygen sensor changed( error code 52 oxygen sensor stuck in too rich setting)

so I can invest in the socket, invest in the sensors and become a pro at it

anything tricky about a metro oxygen sensor? I havent even looked at it yet.

Re: 94 geo error code 13

They're not as tricky... as they are just a royal pain in the a$$. After all those years of being hot inside an iron manifold, they get pretty siezed in there. I would use a MAPP gas torch(propane just isn't as hot) and heat the manifold around the o2 sensor for a little bit before trying to remove it. Those o2 sensor sockets have a groove in them which makes them weak also. Better for installing them than removing them. With the bad sensor, what I do is cut the wire, and get a really deep regular 6 point socket to go on it(you can put much more pressure on it and it won't break). I suggest using 1/2" drive tools also. 3/8" is fairly weak. I use a solid head breaker bar and a piece of 3' long exhaust pipe "cheater pipe" for leverage. With the cheater pipe and heat, it should come out with no problems. Use the o2 sensor socket for installing the new one. Oh, and never touch the tip of a new o2 sensor. The oils on your hands will destroy it. Handle it like it's a light bulb.

Re: 94 geo error code 13

hmmm

well actually im not interested in welding or head breaker bars right at the moment so maybe this gets warehoused into a nice fun oxygen sensor day off in the future.

any logic to why it would only show up after 60 mph?
