front strut bar

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Front...rdZ1QQtcZphoto

anybody have this one and if so is it decent? its kinda hard to go wrong with a stationary part unless that aluminum bar is like 1/237" wall thickness.

Re: front strut bar

looks like some cheap sh#t. the bar is fine, but the mounts look like very very mild steel. if you got that, take some hard turns, those mounts are gonna bend like crazy.

if i were, i'd look elsewhere. all the cheap crap is on e-bay. granted, you can't go wrong with an e-bay intake pipe/filter, but that piece of metal just looks awful. you get what you pay for...strut bar for 30 bux? too good to be true.

Re: front strut bar

That resembles my rear bar, except I have different mounts. I found both mine for like $50 and $75 on ebay.

One nice thing is that one provides a slot for the battery tie down. Mine didn't.

Re: front strut bar

i just made a rear strut bar with square beam and heavy duty feet covered it in matching leather and it looks good, i cant really tell a difference though. I just want to buy a front one and if u said the bar is good then reinforcing the feets is easy, so should i do that or go with 3sx?

Re: front strut bar

i think $175 is a little too much for a strut bar. so if you can make the feet heavy duty, then just go get the e-bay bar and call it a day.

show us pics when you're done, front AND rear strut bars!
