Hyrdaulic clutch problem

A little bit ago the hyrdaulic clutch went out on my 1992 4 door sedan. I know it's not the actual clutch because once you get it into gear it runs fine but you can drive it with the clutch pushed in and it acts as if your foot isin't even on the pedal. I have replaced both the clutch slave and clutch master cylinder and although there is more play than there was when the problem first arose, it still acts as if there is no clutch. My first guess was that there was air in the lines but neither the slave or master have bleeder valves . I did manage to get what i hope is all the air bubbles out of the lines but still nothing. Just wondering if anyone has any info on this problem and how to fix it.
thanks

Re: Hyrdaulic clutch problem

true there are no bleeder valves becase the system come assemibled, prebleeded and sealed from Saturn, did you buy the cylinders from a dealership or a parts store(not to say a parts store product wouldn't work, just i would trust the OEM quality on this piece).

when did this start? any major work done? a missinstalled clutch can cause simular problems. when you installed the slave, you twisted it all the way in right? using quality DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid that has not been exposed to air(brake fluid is hydroscopic)? since you can't see the slave cylinder movement installed, you may want to bench test the system, but you would need find a way to keep the slave piston from poping out of the cylinder when you press the pedal.
