97 SC2 purchase
I am looking at a 97 sc2. I don't know anything about saturns. are these cars reliable. The car 71xxx miles and is a 5 speed. good gas mileage? any insight would be much appreciated.

cars are extremely reliable, IF taken care of. check the oil, pull the oil cap and check to see if it looks gummy right there. pull plug wires and see if oil is pooling around the spark plugs. practically any other problem can only be found by teardown. its like any used car you buy, you dont know how it is inside the engine and trans.
