alright guys....need your help please!

here it is.....a 1991 honda prelude si.....about 7 months ago, the guy who had it (my neighbor) had the head apart.....it jumped the timing belt, so he did a compression test to check for bent valves, or what not.....everything checked out fine and he put it all back together and it ran great.....well he passed away recently and the car hasnt been started or driven in 5 months or so......i got in it and tried to start it and it just cranks and cranks for a while then finially starts, but when it does, its really rough.....like its hesitating or missing.....well when you go to take off, it'll do fine, shift into second and hit the gas and its like it falls on its face and misses or hesitates. the plugs look good and i thought there may have been moisture in the tank so i filled it up with 93 octane, heet, and gas treatment. still no fix......please help
