Quick Healing?

Hey, I didn't quite know where to post this, so hopefully this is the correct place. Here's the deal - On Monday, the 15th, I was practicing football (American) with the rest of the junior varsity team. As it was, we were already kicked off our normal field by a soccer game. So, we had to practice on a shitty ass field, and long story short, I tripped in one of the ditches in the ground (or gopher holes) and sprained my ankle. It's pretty bad, I've had sprained things before, but usually not as bad as this. I have practice tomorrow (Wednesday the 17th) and was wondering what, if anything, I can do to speed up the healing.

BTW, I'm 13 years old, if it's any help.

Re: Quick Healing?

RICE - Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation.

You may also need some time; however if you're intending to practice, get the trainers to tape it up really good for you to make sure you don't reinjure it.

I had it iced, compressed, and elevated, but not really rested. Had to do things, but it's pretty good now. Now to work with that elbow
