99 T&C Instrument cluster problems- FYI
Just thought I would share this since the symptoms seem very strange to me. Last week, I was out of town and my wife called to tell me that the tach and speedometer on our 99 Town and Country LXi had stopped working. The next day, she called and said that the van would turn over but not start.
When I returned several days later, I replaced the battery and it started right up, everything worked and has worked for the last week. So for all those with weird electrical problems, start with the battery. The reason I started with the there is that my 96 Volvo 850 also exhibits some very strange symptoms when the battery is ready to go. |

Yup little doubt that this era van is susceptible to bad battery and poor battery cable connections . Before getting a new battery try cleaning and then roughing up the battery terminal posts and the inside of the battery cable itself. If it fails a load test at the parts store then I would replace it .

Thanks Viper. It was definately a dead cell. I tried putting the battery in my Cuda and it wouldn't start. After jumping it to start, it wouldn't take a charge.
