Another kill for the Wingmen!

So tonight it was musashi, his wife, myself, my g/f, and another friend of ours who we are going to refer as Bushido. It was the Goat and the Jetta, Which has become a common site around for the street racers (and no I'm not bragging or feeling superior, cause i know there are still alot of different cars around the city) We just left te local denny's and we were headed to Walmart, Musashi needed to fill up so we headed to a near by chevron. At a light about 4 bblocks away from the chevron Musashi lines up next to me instead of following. I'm thinking to myself, whats going on? I turn my switch on cause I figure he saw something and decided to line up with me to run it. Surely enough a Honda S2000 rolls up to my left.

The light turns green and before either the S2000 or myself realized that we were ready to go Musashi launches and merges infront of me since his lane merged. I take off along with the S2000 As I come along to 3rd I close the gap to musashi cause he was turning into the chevron and I kept going with the s2000. I look in my left mirror and see the S2000 is about 3 cars behind so I merge into his lane to slow us both down. Instead of slowing down like I did he kept going and did a flyby. I'm thinking to myself, what an ass I was trying to help him cause he going into cop infested territory!

Oh well...

Good kill...

Do you guys really refer to yourselves as "the wingmen"?

That is so

Re: Another kill for the Wingmen!

The decals we have are temporary and the new ones are going to have a design that we came up with and it says wingmen racing. And just so you know it's not only me and Musashi on the team. We also have a 350, the kid who bought the 3000 from musashi, musashi wife with her eclipse, the starion whenever that is ready as well as, for now till they get a car, we have technical and video support which is my Bushido and my G/F.

Re: Another kill for the Wingmen!

I didnt think you'd post about that guy!
He was a dumb ass. Couldnt drive worth a crap.
As soon as I launch I hear Gotian's turbo at my rear quarter panel taking off, the S2000 seemed to have bogged out 1st and then caught it low, I think by the time he hit VTEC I was already gassing up.

Gotian put more then 3 on him and then he does the classic flyby.

I honestly think a blind kid with down syndrom and only onw foot would of driven that car better. S2000s are much faster then this chump was.

and to all the haters. YES, we have decals that say "wingmen"
I hate the look of them though, the new ones are gonna be much more symbolic and nicer. We need them though cause of the autoX and the other events we have planned out. Sponsosrs wont take us seriously untill we build a rep sort of, I mean would you lend your money to someone you've never heard of? no
so yeah its a work in progress.

Re: Another kill for the Wingmen!

why would i put that up, a kill's a kill right? and even if the s2k driver did mess up, which I doubt, I think he was caught off guard like I was, on stock mode he shouldve caught up. But I wasnt on stock mode so

Re: Another kill for the Wingmen!

When do the tracks open down there? I'm curious to know what you run now Gotian. Stock the Jetta 1.8T's run a what, mid to low 15? I know you're boosting a pretty descent amount more now, so I'd just like to know what your Jetta is running.

I'd agree with Mushi. The S2K is a pretty descent runner. I believe low 14's are the stock running time in the 1/4. Not quite sure, but I think so. Good run, nice job, and keep up the winning streak.

Re: Another kill for the Wingmen!

we didnt catch him off guard man. The reason I lined up was cause the moffo was chasing us for a block. I caught his headlights swerving in and out of lanes behind us. He was doing it since before we passed under the turnpike. When he lined up he knew what was comming. he just sucked thats all.
and yes a kill is a kill but I dont count them if they just hand over the victory.....I mean make me fight for it man! its like going on a first date and finding out shes not wearing underware
why the hell then are you spending money on dinner if you know your already gonna hit that? just skip it and go straight to the horrizontal mamba.

stock 1.8t jetta's have been known to run high 14's, IF it's a 5 speed. The 6 speeds dont break into the 14's unless you burn through the gears

Re: Another kill for the Wingmen!

Good kill.

I still am awaiting your track times. I'm gonna state that you run a 14.5 sec. 1/4 mile, and see how close I am when you actually get times.

Most people just think that they are as good as the mag drivers behind the wheel, and never go to the track, or when they do, they realize that they're not running the times they thought they would.

For Musashi I say he runs a high 13 sec. pass (I'll say 13.8). Let's see if i'm right or not.

I get what youre saying, most mags and online say my car stock runs a 15.4 but most people who ran my car get a 14.8 or 14.9 so you never know.
