99 GA tie rod ends...HELP!!!
me and my brother are fixing a 1999 GA for a friend of mine and the outer tie rod ends won't come off the rod...theres no way to stop the rod from spinning while trying to get the end off and we can't get the boot off the other end of the rod to take the whole setup off...any help? Please? DESPERATE!!!

Did you loosen the sleeve that holds the tie rod ends on? If there is no sleeve then loosen the jam nut and hold the rod with a pipe wrench while you turn the tie rod end. If memory serves these may be left handed threads but I am not totally certain. Haven't changed tie rods in a while.

the tie rod should hav a place for a wrench to hold it, then turn the Nut to loosen.
the nut and tie rod are two seperate pieces. Should paint or mark the threads so when you put the new tie rod on you'll just tughten it to the same place as before. May need an alignment if you change both. Also try some penitrating fluid on the threads, at least clean it behind the nut. Good Luck
