The D17 was not made with the intent of race that would be the job of the SI. Having an EX, LX or what have you will yield good gas milage, reliability and resale value 3 very important things. If you had purchase this car with intentions of racing then you should have done more research in the field called "Honda". You can make your car fast yes there are many of threads here I have helped people with ideas on how to do so. Ultimilty what is comes down is how deep your pocket is.....
