Hesitation issue
Sometimes my car accelerates a little jerky, especially when I first get in it and after a couple minutes of driving goes away. I usually let it warm up for 20 or 30 seconds before I drive it. Is this pretty common or could it have something to do with the oil change that I'm a couple miles overdue for?

I would highly doubt it has anything to do with the oil being dirty if your a few miles over due. Have you checked the plugs and wires. Bad spark can cause those symptoms.

The guy I bought it from had the plugs and wires changed last september so it shouldnt be that unless the plugs are just terrible quality. He said that they were platinum plugs from some brand I can't remember.

You can get it tested at most auto stores such as Napa, O'Reilly, etc. for free. However, if it is going bad they are not cheap to replace.

if it's boshe it's suck.i had a problrm with them,and when i changed those to NKG it fixd everything.

Find out what type of plugs he put in. Some brands don't work to well with our cars.
Generally an on/off hesitation is spark related. With the mods you have, it may simply be that you are getting spark blowout under boost.

yeah looks like its running bosch's under the hood. ill go out tomarrow and get the ngk plugs while I get oil for it too.

according to him he had a shop do it while they were rebuilding the tranny, replacing the clutch/wires/stuff/etc. so unless he told them to i doubt it. i'm gonna be busy over the weekend but on sunday i should have some time to put hte plugs in and change the oil and stuff and i'll let you guys know what turns out. if that doesnt fix it ill take it to get the ignition module tested.
its kindof a weird problem though. it seems the warmer the car is from the sun or engine, the mroe the problem goes away. over here in seattle we been gettin 80+ degrees every day now and I dont notice the problem unless I drive it in the morning (which is usually when I drive the '85 honda beater).

From what i've read on the forums here i'm thinking that im going to make a switch from the castrol synthetic blend 10w30 that the previous owner used to the castrol syntec 5w50. anyone have any opinions on it or other oils i should consider?
If driving conditions matter, I usually use the car for short-ish trips with spurts of spirited driving.
