help

ok.. first of all, i dont know SHIT about cars, so please dont make fun if this is a retarded question. but anyway, i have a 94 geo prizm, and when ever i go to shift from 1st to 2nd, the stick is sticky... like i have to force it from 1st to 2nd... and sometimes from 2nd to 3rd.. its kind of jamming. does anyone know what the problem could be and how much it would be to fix?thanks

Re: help

I am kind of dumb at this too but my 92' Storm I had did that and the first time it was a "clip" in the shifter like under the rubber boot I will have to see if I can find out what it was called and the third time it started doing that it was the clutch! If you want more info let me know and I will see if I can find out what that clipthing was called but it might give you a place to start!
