I've just been busting a nut stacking next year's firewood(load the barrow,push it UP the driveway,stack against garage,repeat until bored/worn out/stinky).

Are there any other jobs that should fall exclusively to men,or to women for that matter?

When it comes to bailing the hay (which I haven't done in a long time) there were no women to be found.

Pretty much anything really messy guys should do or that requires major force!

Except for cleaning the house!

One thing that comes to mind is loading/unloading gardening supplies........gravel, chips, and stuff like that

Well, gee whizz, I guess thats fine if you have a 'man' to do the messy/heavy stuff for you.
If you dont - you sure learn quickly how to do it yourself or look sufficiently pathetic so someone takes pity on you

I don't know, my mother used to bring home the bacon and cook it! Maybe that's the reason I get a Mother's Day and a Father's Day card from my son. My mother taught me how to do all the home chores, but my father did teach me how to work on cars. Heck, my mother even helped me take down a 30 foot tree in my front yard.

All though we still live in a very sexist society (in that there are jobs which are still considered gender specfic) there is only one job I can think of that only a man should be allowed to do, and only one job a women should be allowed to do.

Man: own and maintian a penis.

Women: own and maintian a vagina.



Thats it.
Gender has no bearing on your ablity to do anything else.

As far as heavy lifting, I work at UPS hauling boxes all day, on an average 4 hr night, I move around 40,000 pounds. And there are quite a few wemon there. Granted, the ratio is around 30:1 out of 400 employes, thats still alot. Course...most of these chicks are bigger than me

I don't feel any job should be "reserved" for any specific sex... but you have to admit there are some jobs out there that are just naturally suited for one or the other. You wouldn't want the fire dept to hire a 5'2" 89 lb female when it comes time to save your a$$ from a burning building now do you??
