i have a 69 caddy that i want to lower 2 inches, i dont want to pay a lot because its not really about the proformence on this beast, cant i get dropped spindles or smaller springs or something that would be cheap? i know how to work on it and would rather do it myself then pay. and ideas?

for example, could i find the same size lower springs from a truck? or the same spindles, the car is more of a truck frame, maybe the frame is the same as a car that is lowered more often and therefore the parts would be cheaper. it weighs like 4700 lbs or something, i also dont want it to be scraping on the ground if there are 6 people in the car....
