Coolant Light/Leak

Hey guys, i know its been brough up before but i cudnt find an answer. Light came on while driving to work, figured electrical prob, turned off and on, still on. Then when i got home that night it was still on, i looked and the tank was low, i put in over a liter of coolant. Start it up, still on.. But this isnt the only problem, my dad noticed my car was dripping, i look and sure enuf its orange coolant.. Its leaking verrry slowly from i dont know where, i looked under the car and i cudnt see where it was coming from, it was just dripping off a piece of metal that didnt look important. I looked under hood and cudnt find a leak, its not a hose, doesent look like its coming from cap, bled the air, still.. It kinda looked like it was falling from under the pulleys, i didnt SEE it but that looks like whats happening.. Wud that be a water pump or something? Any way to make sure? Thnx

P.S. Its leaking from passenger side

Re: Coolant Light/Leak

Well the coolant light came off, and over night it has only dripped a couple drops, so im thinking it only leaks when its running? Ill check it out better after, but at least coolant light is off, i did bleed it btw

Re: Coolant Light/Leak

Might want to check the water pump gasket, mine went at about 120K.

I was going to suggest the same thing, water pump or the gasket.

Re: Coolant Light/Leak

im getting the same problem but on driver side...mine is a 04 cavi with 24K miles on it....it was in a accident but my dad bought a new radiator and installed it correctly and it leaks still but alittle. It seems like its leeking from a gasket on the bottom driver side of the radiator...im not sure tho.
