2000 4x4 problem

I have a 2000 Silverado 4x4 with the eletronic 4x4 switch. My problem is that all the lights for the push buttons are on and my "Serv. 4x4" light is on. When I start to drive, it boggs down and sounds like it is trying to engage the 4x4. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: 2000 4x4 problem

You need to get it on a transmission/engine capable scanner.
Check for codes and run the shift test.
Post back any code no.
