Throttle Body

Hi

Can anyone help with directions or a link as to how I can clean the throttle body on a 1.6 Golf 3 1998 model.

The car has bad response times and the dealer says it is a dirty throttle body but they ask to much for cleaning this and a new one is out of the question. The car has about 240 000 km on it so I guess this is very possible

Thanks for any help
Fanie

Re: Throttle Body

Your message looks quite old - so you have probably sorted the problem by now.

However, I worked on exactly the same thing a week ago. This link here discusses the solution: http://faculty.ccp.edu/faculty/dreed...1582/index.htm
