car stalls after runnin for about an hour

ok, heres the problem, im thinkin about buyin a 96 eclipse non turbo 2.0L, i test drove it and ran it a few other times with the same result, after about an hour of idleing, or about 4-5 miles of driving, the car stalls out and wont start for about 5 minutes, i had a scanner on it and it said ignition faulty or misfireing, so i put new plugs, wires, and a coil in it, and one of the posts on the coil was rusted, but to no avail i ran the car after putting the new parts on it and it is now easier to start after stalling, but still stalls, does anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong, any feedback would be greatly appreciated

uummm....You haven't bought it yet? Run away then, and find a turbo model. An hour of idleing? Why, are you a cop? What does the temp look like when it stalls? What does the T-belt look like? Did you put a T-light on it and see where timing is? Changed the fuel filter?( try this one next) Do ALL the basic maintenance if you already bought it. Then you are ahead of the game even if it doesn't fix the problem.

well, the car is only 2000 dollars and its almost nicer than any other car i have owned and i can afford it, the temp looks fine before it stalls out now, because i took the thermostat out, but before it overheated on me and thats why its out, as for timing i havent checked it, but i wonder if it may be a knock sensor thats bad and telling the ecu to retard timing to the point where it stalls after a while, but if anyone has any other ideas, then let me know
