1995 cavalier clutch problem.
I went to push in the clutch and come to a stop but when I pushed it something snapped. I think a wire might have come off but Im not sure. Now when I push the clutch in it just stays at the bottom and doesn't come back up. What do you guys think?

Re: 1995 cavalier clutch problem.
Its more than likely your master cylinder for the clutch. GM recommends replacing the master cylinder and the slave cylinder on thr tranny every time you replace the clutch/pressure plate/ throw out bearing. But being broke like most of us are it doesnt always happen that way.Or the linkage at the slave cylinder end could of slipped off or there could be a return spring on the clutch pedal itsself that could of snapped.

Re: 1995 cavalier clutch problem.
On thinking on this some more check you pedal it may have a spring on it that "helps" it return to the up position that may have been the snapping noise you heard.
