350 tpi rebuild tips!!!!!please

ehy guys im sending my 1989 350 tpi to the shop for a rebuild.can i put a mild cam and not have to mess with the computer?im also goin for forged pistons for a future turbo (4-5) months!Do you guys know of a good set up?nothing to crazy cause its my daily driver thats why im not going to bore it out.also if i get a port and polish on the heads dose that affect the computer?and in case i do have to mess with the comp, where can i send it?i live in san bernardino california. thanks again guys!
