Brake switch removal

This thing is kicking my A_ _! Not sure how else to take it off? Are there any hints on how to remove this switch... THere is a metal shroud that surronds the switch but no luck in removing that either...
Any hints or tips would be greatly appreciated...

Re: Brake switch removal

Well, I finally got the brake switch off. It was a toughy indeed. There is a retaining clip on the passenger side of the switch that has to be removed. After that is taken off(took about 2 hours) then the switch unclips from the shift lever and can be removed. Then you have to unclip the wiring harness and you are good to go. Installation is easier because the retaing clip goes on a lot faster than it comes off. The clip needs to be put back on as it will move and you will have a hard time shiting if it does... Hope this is of some help to those who have to tackle this project...
