Re: carmaro wont start security problem

It's a VATS issue, how did they break in? Break a window? Was it an aftermarket stereo or the stock one? Did they cut or disconnect any wires?

It was an aftermarket cd player. But I see no attempt to the ignition. I tried to jump the car by getting the purple wire and something power, it just cranks but wont start. I heard you can bypass module by link resistors and soldering them together. Is this true or waste of time.

Re: carmaro wont start security problem

I've heard of it before, but I don't know how truthful it is. I have never seen it done. I don't know why the car wouldn't start if all they did was steal the radio...

Thanks for trying to help, I went to a site likeabigdog.com. And fix the problem myself. So to anyone having vats problems look up the site. ecspecially when the dealer wanted to charge me 200-500 to fix. Which i fixed for 15 dollars. Just glad to be back on the road.

What did you have to do to fix it?

Re: carmaro wont start security problem

I soldered a resistor and wire together. Followed the steering column down, found the orange wire, striped it there is two white wires inside. Put one wire to the other and it started. Hoping no other problems. And the site is likeabigdog/column/vats.com
