me VS 06 BMW M3

Last night when i was heading home from my friend house,i saw a M3 next to me and he was trying to race me.I kind of wanted to race him too,so i slow down to 40mph,and then we start racing.till my turbos spole up the M3 was a car ahead of me and stayed like this till end of thired gear, but on 4th gear i was next to him.we were going 130mph.too bad we reached the traffic and we couldn't go any faster.i know it's a shame to loos to a M3 like that but my car is not tune.i was runinng 15psi.i gaped my spark pugs @ .029 inch.would i loos power if i close the gap too much?i was running rich too,so that's another resone to loos power.

Good race anyway. And as I understand it the TT's pretty much don't have any lag since they are so small. Or do you have larger turbos?

Oh, and you may want to post this in the street racing section too.

An M3 is no lightweight. From a roll, a stock VR4 is going to be hard pressed to hang so with some mods, you did pretty dang well. There's no doubt that getting it tuned up a bit would do you a world of good.

Talking Re: me VS 06 BMW M3

yeah, the M3's are pretty fast. one of my good friends has an '01. they rate at 333hp, and are supposed to run in the mid to high 13's, just like the vr4's. so stock vs. stock they should be pretty even. i haven't gotten a chance to race him yet, but when we do, i'll be sure and let you know how it went.

holla!

Isn't 15 psi in the danger zone anyways for the stock 9b's?

Not in danger for the stock turbos, but it can dangerous on stock injectors. Without datalogging, I wouldn't go past 14/14.5 Some have actually found knock at those levels.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.
