What's your perfect car and why?

I think that this could be an intresting subject.

What's the perfect car for your lifestyle, and why is it perfect.
Please include any mods that you'd want to include to make it perfect.

Although price doesn't really matter in this thread there are a few things to consider.
For example if you say that you want a red Ferrari because it's a panty remover, and you haven't included a pull out bed in your mods I'll point out that there isn't the room inside to remove them.

OK I'll start

I'd like to own a Mercedes Unimog.
Even though I think that they're big and ugly they're one of the best all round off road machines. This one is stock in this video
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...88589&q=unimog

I wouldn't get that model, I think that this one is better suited to my lifestyle

The reason why I'd like one of these rigs is because they're tough, go anywhere rides that I can basicly turn into the ultimate off road motorhome.
I like going into the back country for days and even weeks at a time, and just say that I've been lucky to be able to drive out at times.

They're even tough enough to tow a train

Here's the new version

The only mods that I'd do is take out the limited power engine and transmission, and install a Ford none turbo Diesel motor and matching transmission. This engine choice is because they last for forever, and only sip fuel compaired to the powerstroke's. They have enough power for this rig
I'd also make sure that it has the winch

Plus I'd of course camperize the back, and install a boat loader so my little fishing boat can be transported inside.
But that's just about it

I'm intrested in seeing what you all say

Re: What's your perfect car and why?

the perfect car would be a 72 Chevelle SS, black with red racing stripes that is pinstripped down the sides something bad ass. with awsome chrome tires and wheels. Undere the hood i would have a McClarine F1 engin. ( haa!!) but still it would spound like a muscle car. Also something i would have would be a unlimited supply of gas and a paint job that would never have to be washed. The windows would never Get dirty and spotty and then the enterior would be crimson red with all kinda of do-dads and what nots all over the place wit hthe best sound system for heavy metal ever. it would have an alarm so if anyone touched the handles it would shock them and tazer them till they passed out. once they passed out the cops would be notified and they would be hauled off to jail but i would program it so that it wouldnt shock my freinds or family. that is my dream car.

International Scout II any engine except the amc 6. "anything else is just a car" had a scout 800 v-266 (1966 convertable sport top) and a II I-196 (1971 1/2). if only they didn't rust. best rigs ever!!!

Re: What's your perfect car and why?

I've had many, and I've gotten to an age where I don't think too much about stuff I can't attain.
Currently, this is it. I bought it 4 years ago (quit smoking, this is what I spent the cigerette money on- allows about $1,500/year for upgrades)
It's my hobby for now, I can afford it, and I takepleasure working on it - it's my escape. I plan on keeping this one for quite some time.

Re: What's your perfect car and why?

Well I would have to say either a Shelby 427 Cobra or a 67 Shelby GT-500. I love Mustangs. I guess that is my curse from god.

I love it, They're all real world cars. Although BlazinMlew's choices are a little hard to find at an affordable price.

Re: What's your perfect car and why?

well, as a lifestyle type of car goes, it would have to be a mid to late 90's suburban. besides a 15 passenger van its the only car that can (legally) fit my family of 8. i dont want another minivan. but as far as one that i want, it would be the 78 camaro that i once owned. stupid me for selling it years ago.

I would take a clone of either one. I dont need all authentic, that just means I be that much more afraid to drive it and have something happen to it.

Re: What's your perfect car and why?

I am trying to convince my wife to let me get the Factory 5 cobra kit after we get our house. I have about 75% for it and 100% against it at the same time right now

Re: What's your perfect car and why?

My perfect car is one that I don't have to work on. I need a break after all this work on the Blazer.
Second car is sitting in my garage, a 1957 GMC pickup. It'll get done when I get the time and money, then I'll have my perfect car.
