hi. my name is robert. my engine cuts out unexpectedly at odd times. some times when idling. some times at 100 kph. a couple of times when starting, it has taken a few attempts.
My 87, 730 has had camshaft and all rockers replaced. mileage is over 300.000ks. Engine wear is only 3% less than at new.
My local dealer tends to replace things willy nilly, which can be a costly excercise.
I an a pensioner of limited means. I adore this car. Fuel comsuption is good. Uses no oil. I am worried that the car can not be trusted on long journeys. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Happy motoring, from Robert in Finland.
