Brake upgrade for GSR.

So I wore my rotors out because my brakes just barely started squeeking yesterday and as soon as I checked them out it was too late. So now I'm thinking about upgrading but don't want to spend too much money. Should I just go with some cross drilled rotors and change the pads? Are there any brands that anybody recommends? Thanks in advance.

Re: Brake upgrade for GSR.

Don't cheap out on brake parts.

Crossdrilled rotors are nice but you can't resurface them. Because I wanted something that was good for everyday spirited driving I got some Brembo blank rotors. The rotors are working great with Hawk HPS pads for my everyday use. Definitely better than stock.

I also hear powerslot rotors are good. They have this thing called cryo rotors and supposedly good stuff, but expansive. Out of all the rotors that I researched, my brembo blank rotors were the cheapest our of all the reputable brands.

I bought mine from Buybrake.com and at the time it was the cheapest I could find. Also they had good customer service. I ordered some break drums as well, and they called me up and told me that their parts numbers were wrong. Then they found a higher priced replacement for me, and gave them to me for the same price. I think anything over $100 is free shipping as well.

Whatever you buy, be sure to break them in. See this site.

Have fun.
