Re: Shops in L.A.?

There are not many shops I know of in Santa Monica, but if you travel to East LA, there is Best 1 Hobby (www.best1hobby.com), or travel a little farther to Ultimate Hobbies in Orange, or maybe Pegasus Hobbies in Montclair.

Re: Shops in L.A.?

I would make the trip to Best1Hobby no matter what part of L.A. you'll be in. It will be worth it. They are easy to get to as well. Just off the 710 freeway.

You can find Best1 here: http://www.best1hobby.com/html/location.html

As far as other shops.. well, you would think that a large city such as los angeles would have some decent shops, but it's pretty lacking in them. The only other one I would recommend is Burbank House of Hobbies, but I mostly just use them for supplies such as paint and glue.

Re: Shops in L.A.?

before you go to best1hobby you should surf their website for what you want or are interested in and then give them a call. Ask them if what you want is on stock, that way you wont drive all the way drom Santa Monica to Alhamba/ E. LA/San Gabriel, or whatever its really at. Make it worth your trip. Those guys are kool and will let you know if they have in stock what you want. Traffic's also a bi*** going from Santa Monica towards CSULA.

House Of Hobbies in Burbank (818)848-3674 is also a good place to visit. They have more building supplies than Best1Hobby. I come to these guys for supplies and i drive to Best1Hobby for car kits.

House Of Hobbies in located on 911 S. Victory Blvd. Burbank, Ca.
off the 5 Fwy, exit Alameda
