HA! finally I raced a Ninja on the Freeway!

So here this guy was and he knew what I wanted to do, so he leaned foward and I knew what that meant. We were on the freeway going about 75, so I dropped third, then fourth and he was pullin on me by about 3.5-4.5 cars by the time we hit 105, man it was sweet, we raced a couple more times like that and he was consistantly pulling the same on me. I imagine he would've really started to pull after a 110.

That must have been a smaller Ninja or a rookie driver because the larger Ninjas (600+) would have been a long distance ahead. Neverthless nice bike death. I'm not sure I'd race agianst a sports bike.

Had to have been a 600 or a 660. It was to big to be anything smaller. Maybe he was a rookie, i dunno. but his bike had stickers all over it, like redbull and stuff.

kawasaki doesnt make a 660.....3.5 to 4.5 it had to be like a 250-500 and even that would still be kinda ify.....I have seen stock 600cc bikes pull on 500hp cars like that....but I guess....so you want to run my bike...hehe

Not too many people drive bikes around this area I live in. Gotta go up to Montreal or something to find some guys. Nevertheless, I'd love to test my car against one when I finish her up. Wonder how you would've faired at a lower speed? Good death.

At lower speeds the bike woulda beat him more probably. Power to weight ratio is a wonderful thing.

If they raced from a lower speed the bike would have just pulled more than it did at the top end. However, I would still think that if it was a 600+cc bike (which I would highly doubt unless the guy was just toying with you or sucked something awful) would still pull on you at speeds 100mph+ at a very quick rate

Re: HA! finally I raced a Ninja on the Freeway!

i can tell you that when cars try to race me i never give it all i have, once i'm a good distance ahead i chill out. that 4 cars he pulled could have probably been 12 if he wanted to really go for it. if it was a 636 then it's capable running low 10's in the 1/4. and you'd know if it was a 250 or 500 ninja, they still look like some shit outta the 80's.

Yea it was a 600, i know what you mean about to 250/500, the 250's just simply look like an adult matel bike to me. Anyways, 636's can run 10's? I was thinking they were mid-low elevens from the factory, and I thought 600's were low 12's. I mean when I was at a mitsu dealer a while back I was talking to this dude that used to drag bikes, and he was telling me he had a 600 fixed up to high heaven that was running low nines in the quarter, but I don't really know shit about bikes either.

Re: HA! finally I raced a Ninja on the Freeway!

yeah sport rider magazine got it to go 10.38@136 mph stock. http://sportrider.com/bikes/146_perf...rs/index5.html

that's with a pro rider though, low 11's-high 10's are probably more common.
