Nitrous Oxide question

im reading some books on Nitrous Oxide and they keep saying the word WON. what dose WON mean. anybody know

and why is it impossable to spray while ur boosting a turbo?

First of all can you please move this to the Racing>Non-Specific section as this is a question that relates to that particular forum and not this one. And you can use nitrous while your boosting.

nah i like it right were it is thx anyway. your telling me that while you are at 25 PSI u can spray your 250 shot stage 2 nitrous. can a combustion chamber even handle that much O2. did you knwo that air only has about 23.6 o2 in it. now do 23.6 X 25Psi and thats how much O2 is coming into the cylinder. now add 250 shot of nitrous. and see if that cylinder is even a cylinder.

He never said you could spray that much. Plenty of DSM guys spray off the line to spool up massive turbos. If you spray a smaller shot and have a good tuning platform, you can spray through the powerband.

But yeah, 250 shot is very excessive for a street car whether FI or NA.

I never said 250 shot while boosting 25 PSI. Please show me where I said that. Thats like asking can I turbo my NA 3kgt on stock internals and someone says yes and then I reply with "so your telling me I can boost 25 PSI on my car with no supporting mods?".

Actually yes! yes I do think im cool cause I know shit about engines. But not only that, other people also think Im cool too.

well you probably could run 25psi and a 250 shot of nitrous, just not on a street car and the engine would have to be strengthened quite a bit.

just some advice, don't bad mouth members, they'll be less willing to answer your questions if you do.

friend of mine runs 250 shot on his big block.....but man is that expensive! Three shots and its done. $40 a tank. I hear crack is cheaper.

The size of the shot that an engine can easily handle is greatly dependant on the motor in question. A two liter four banger will definitely not handle it as well as a much bigger engine, all things being equal. But on boost? Forget it.

you can run 100-150 shot on LS1's no problem. A boosted LS1 on stock internals and fule system...doubt it.
