Cant get the CD out of the CD Player
I have a 2004 Chrysler Town and Country. I have been using the stock stereo and recently it has been giving me some trouble. About a month ago I noticed that the CD that I had in the CD PLayer would not come out but after a few tries it came out. Everything was okay until about 2 weeks ago the CD got stuck again I have not been able to take it out. I press the eject button but all I hear is the ejecting mechanism for half a second and then nothing happens. Any help would be appreciated. Otherwise I will have to have the whole thing replaced.

I have had this problem several times with 97 Grand Caravan. I pulled the radio/cd player out of the dash and opened it up. There is a plastic gear and and geared rail type of assembly on the side of the radio. To be hhonest all that I have done is play with that assembly and all of a sudden it will un-jam and slid back into position. Wish I could give you a more specific, step by step instructions but this is all I remember doing.
