Jacky Ickx F1 Great

I did the original pencil drawing in the 70's.. I followed grand Prix and at the time, Jacky Ickx was one of the greats. I admired him and Jackie Stewart...

I tried to use Illy to colorize and detail(as much as I could) my old drawing. Hope you enjoy it. CC's always appreciated.

Robo

"Looks ggrrrrrrrrrreat." - Tony the Tiger, Circa last month. No one likes current F1 racing, it's all classic. Makes me sad D:

Thanks, guys. I appreciate the comments. It's fun to dig up a lot of my old drawings and see what Illustrator can do to them. Robo

Re: Jacky Ickx F1 Great

wasn't the original red? you need to cut about 1-2 mm of the right side of the pic. looks great apart from that!

Nice work Robo.
You've really put new life into the old sketch. (It's great too.)

One comment, something about the shape of the vector helmet
looks a little wrong.
Maybe it's a bit to tall and/or elongated on the top.

Re: Jacky Ickx F1 Great

excellent. only thing i'd address is the helmet. face is too flat. get some helmet reference pics in profile and you will see what i mean.
(even if it is "correct" as drawn, it looks funny, so must be addressed)
