Injector not pumping fuel

I have a 1990 RS TBI camaro, the fuel pump is working. It's sending fuel to the unit, but as seems as if something telling them not to pump the fuel. Usually after while it will crank, but now it's not cranking at all. Anyone have any idea what it could be?

Re: Injector not pumping fuel

I would say check the fuses out, but now you say it won't crank at all? Sounds like another VATS gone bad episode.

Vehicle Anti theft system?1990 RS camaro has that? My key doesn't have the little black thing on it. Yeah sounds like the injectors are pumping air out, instead of fuel, but the fuel pump is sending fuel, Injectors not clog.

Okay lets get our defintions straight here, crankings means you turn the key, and the starter goes work and turns the engine.

And yes., VATS, wrecking havoc on GM's since 1989

Re: Injector not pumping fuel

Bud, we can't help point you in the right direction when you're not explaning what's going on correctly.

No crank = You turn the key to "start" and NOTHING happnes.

Turns over, won't catch = You turn the key to "start", the starter engages the flywheel and turns the motor over.

Of course it's going to start with carb cleaner becasue if the motor is being turned over at the right speed (400 rpm +)for compression, and the ignition system is working and providing spark, the last part of the triangle is a fuel source.

Re: Injector not pumping fuel

sorry about that man, it's turning over, it's just not catching. Like when i go to sleep and wake up, it doesn't want to catch in the morning, the injectors aren't producing any fuel, sounds like it's pumping air or something, but if i spray some starting fluid in the throttle body, the car cranks and the injectors automatically start working, as if nothing was ever wrong to began with.
