2001 Civic Ex problem please help

Ok a friend of mine has a 2001 civic ex and his speedometer keeps like turning off and on. Somtimes works somtimes doesn't. Does anyone know where the plug for the 2001 civic ex speedometer is ?

I would really appreciate the help.

Hey bro ive got a 2002 ex and have not heard of this prob but i hope i can help. There are plugs in the back of the gauges, Remove the bezel and the plastic glass stuff. Then you take down the gauge cluster it self and there will be plugs behind there. I hope fixin one of those will solve your problem.

My speedometer too tends to get some weird readings at times. All of a sudden on the freeway it'll drop to 0 and 2 seconds later its back to its normal reading. I've never really asked the dealership to investigate but if it bothers you then get it checked.

Yeh thanks guy, but i think there is plug that makes the speedometer work. I think that the plug is disconnected just wondering where the speedometer plug is ? Anyone no ?

You don't sound like you are too experienced and even experienced people on this forum such as myself would just take it to the dealer, point at it and yell at the service guy
