Headunit Problems

Hi,

I took out my standard Peugeot Head unit and replaced it with a aftermarket JVC headunit with a JVC 12 Disc cd changer.

The problem i'm having is that when i select the cd player it just turns off and on repeatedly, the radio works fine its just the cd side...

any ideas??

Thanks in advance..

James

Re: Headunit Problems

do you have an amp connected to the CD player ? If so, you have probably used the auto antenna wire instead of the remote to turn the amp on.

Re: Headunit Problems

is your changer switching on and off randomly, or just steadily on/off/on/off/on/off/on/off?

Re: Headunit Problems

well what ever it was its sorted now, n I have no idea how I solved it lol...I just fitted it again and for some reason it worked, n has been working fine for a couple of days now so I think its fine..

Which brings me onto my next problem,,,,getting a Amp power lead to the battery, is there a common route I can take that wont require drilling?

And lastly does anyone now what size the speakers are in front and rear of a 206?

Thanks ver much for your help this far..

James

under your hood on your firewall, there should be a couple of rubber plugs that you can replace with grommets the size of your cables
